This world has changed so quickly for some of us.  No longer can we remain shy and soft spoken if it comes to something we believe in.  So, as I sit here the first thing that comes to mind that I'd like to say is I'm a Dale Earnhardt, Jr. fan and I'm proud of it.
     In recent weeks I've gotten some vulgar comments for it and shrugged them off.  That is until now!  Yes, I am a woman big friggin deal; and no I'm not blind so yes I did happen to notice that he was attractive.  So what?  I've also got a mind that I use to think for myself.  I've been out of school a few years, since I'm 25 now, but in case you're interested to the best of my recollection my GPA was above 3.5.
     Now, with that said I'd like to offer my input on why I personally am a Dale, Jr. fan or at least a few reasons.  The least of which is he's not scared of pursuing his goals and doing what he loves.  In today's society it's a rare quality to find among someone in their twenties.  Being driven and ambitious isn't a walk in the park.  It requires focus and dedication as well as hard work.
     Achieving your goals is an excruciating task.  Some try but few will have what it takes to make it.  Then the events of recent years haven't been very easy to say the least.  It takes a strong willed person to come out on top.  So, if you are a "new" fan that right there would be enough to pull me in.  I mean come on if that's the person that we know through the media imagine the heart and should that is put into the driving; a sport he loves.  That's a powerful combo!
     Yet, through it all he seems to have remained grounded and still true to himself, his family, and his friend as well as his fans.  To me that really says it all.  He's one of a kind from a very unique family.  It's not the last name that makes Dale, Jr. so special either it's because he is who he is just as I am who I am.
